Arturo Carrasco

Personal trainer and athlete. I have spent my life training and competing at the highest level, and today I put that experience at your service: I design a plan around you and support you with method and closeness so you reach your goal, whatever your starting point.

Two-time open regional champion of north-west Spain and Spanish junior runner-up (-83 kg) in powerlifting.

My story

Strength, endurance and passion

Three chapters that explain who I am. Open whichever one you want to read.

01 · The foundations

I started training at 11, while competing all over Spain as a breakdancer. That period left me with two principles I still apply today: competing to meet people who share the same passion, and always training with method, never on autopilot, which has kept me injury-free and let me enjoy sport for so many years.

02 · Competing

Then came powerlifting, where I gave everything: I squatted 3 times my body weight and competed at the highest national level, with two regional medals and one national. Later I applied that same discipline to the road and started running recreationally to understand my body better and round myself out as an athlete. Alongside it I grew my love of mountaineering, summiting peaks such as the Marmolada in the Italian Dolomites, Torrecerredo in the Picos de Europa and Mulhacén in Sierra Nevada, among many others.

03 · Today

I am still fully active. After running a marathon, several half marathons and a long list of road races in recent years, I have set myself the goal of returning to strength competition with one aim: to beat the athlete I used to be.

From the barbell to the summit

I do not tie myself to a single discipline: I love a challenge in all its forms. That is why I can prepare you for any goal, whatever yours is.

Breakdance

From childhood I competed as a dancer all over Spain. Breakdance shaped my character, my discipline and the way I understand hard work.

Powerlifting

I competed at the highest national level: two-time open regional champion of north-west Spain and Spanish junior runner-up (-83 kg), squatting three times my body weight. For years I assumed those numbers would be the heaviest I would ever lift. I have decided to prove myself wrong: I am back in competition with a single goal, to beat the athlete I used to be.

Mountains

I set myself a challenge: to summit the highest peak in each of Spain's 52 provinces. Since then the outdoors has become an essential part of my life and of the way I travel.

Arturo Carrasco — Running
Endurance2023 – today

Running

From iron to asphalt. I have run every distance up to the marathon. At the 2026 León half marathon I ran 1:32, at 4:17 per kilometre. That time is nothing remarkable, but for me it was a milestone: I am asthmatic, and when I started running after years of powerlifting I could not go faster than 6:30 per kilometre, and finishing a session without pain in my shins and calves was a challenge. Without any natural gift for endurance sport, I improved a great deal and, above all, I enjoyed the process.
